Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our ability to handle projects of all sizes, from basic electrical wiring to full low voltage and data installations.

Project Name
New Sunday School Area
We got a call from McDonald Presbyterian Church one evening saying they had started some renovations in the downstairs Fellowship Hall area and was asking for us to install new recessed can-lights, about 5 to 6 15amp power receptacles, and new up to date wiring while the ceiling was open. It's always fun working in these old churches just to see the history that is hidden for so many years. After speaking with the minister, we agreed on a style of light and brightness hue for the area and used a laser-line to make sure all the new lights were in a straight line. After a couple of weeks of wiring and construction with new lights and another contractor made changes to the walls and ceiling, and new drywall was up and painted, we were able to complete the lighting and get everything completed. We also added 2 3-way switches on both ends of the room so lights could be dimmed and turned on and off for convenience from either side. A projector was installed later with a new ceiling outlet for power also at a later time.

New Camera/Data Network
Some jobs are just too big for one or two people to handle. That is where a friend from another installation company called us and asked for help installing a brand new security camera, door access, and 120 cable data network system for a customer in Carlisle, Pa. Of course we never let old colleagues hanging so we packed up and headed to Carlisle for a month long install. After a beautiful drive thru the Allegheny Turnpike scenery we installed 2 brand new wall mounted data cabinets complete with network switches and equipment and 3 inch conduit raceway for all cables to drop smoothly into the cabinet. Our good friend, Brad Herman, whose the owner of TechFlare supplied all the blueprints and layouts needed for a successful installation of the customer's new network.

Hallway Lighting
Walking into a dark hallway before work is never a fun way to start your day. So this customer contacted us to install new 120v-277v LED wafer/waffle lighting. Using the existing circuit that was 277v we installed 12 new LED lights in the hallway and used the extra power leg to add emergency floodlights in case of a power outage in the building during storms or loss of power. As you can see the new lights certainly brightened up the hallway dramatically and gave the hallway a fresh new look.

New CCTV System
Doing an apartment complex is never an easy task, especially when it is 7 floors. This customer needed cameras placed around the perimeters of their apartment complex. both interior and exterior cameras were installed to ensure resident safety. We installed security cameras in all hallways and common areas and outside for 24 hour monitoring of the parking lot and doors. With the type of security camera systems we use it is extremely easy to integrate the customer's phone into the cameras for remote monitoring while being away. A simple app and a wifi or cellular connection is all that is needed so you can log in from anywhere and keep an eye on what's important at your home or business.

NewStage Lighting
Zyra Electrical is very committed to its small town roots, so when McDonald Presbyterian Church needed new stage lighting for their one church, naturally they called us to do the work since they loved the work we have done for them in the past and built such a great reputation with them over the years. The old fluorescent lighting was badly outdated, so we installed new 4' long LED lights above the stage area behind the bulkhead so it was totally concealed from the audience floor. No more dragging the 12' foot ladder out to change fluorescent bulbs and climbing up anymore. These LED light fixtures will last a solid 10 to 12 years.

FedEx Dimensioners Scanners
In the beginning of January we were contacted by a company based out of Chicago, Illinois area and was asked if wed like to be contracted by them to install data and power for FedEx for ceiling mounted freight scanners called "Dimensioners". These devices only take a simple 20amp 110v circuit and a single CAT-6 cable to communicate the data needs to the network. Involving travelling to different states along the East Coast we gladly accepted. Some locations needed more in depth construction such as small pod rooms called "Mods" placed in the center of the shipping warehouse floor due to the size of the warehouses power and data does have a distance limit that always has to be kept in mind. All electrical wiring were/is ran inside EMT conduit for protection and has a nice clean look for the wiring raceways in the ceiling into the coordinating breaker panels.

Small Office Network
A small Oil and Gas network we installed for office cubicles and wireless access points. Company had their own internal IT people install the network switches and firewall equipment. All we had to do was pull a few cat-6 cables for the network. We also checked over the electrical to make sure everything was up to code and made sure outlets were in appropriate places for their needs.

Bar & Grill TV's Above Bar Area
A local restaurant bar/grill needed some 64" inch televisions mounted in the bar area for their customers. Once a location was decided for the television and cabling we installed 3 dedicated receptacle boxes for power with low voltage cable combo ports for HDMI also. We used a laser-line to mark the bottom of the where the brackets should be lined up across the wall and ran cables from the opposite back side of the divider so everything would be concealed and hidden. Overall everything lines up perfectly, nice and straight and we got a free dinner and watched the game afterwards.
